WHAT: AnthroTronix (www.atinc.com and @AnthroTronix) has been selected to present a research study that focuses on the value its FDA-cleared brain health assessment tool, DANA, provides the military during the Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS) poster sessions. AnthroTronix CEO Dr. Cori Lathan (@clathan) will present a poster that features recent research on service members showing DANA’s reliable and valid brain health assessment capabilities. The poster is titled “Differences in Cognitive Effectiveness in Active Duty Military – Healthy Versus Those With Symptoms Reflective of Sleep Disturbance, Depression and/or PTSD using the Defense Automated Neurocognitive Assessment (DANA) Tool” (abstract: “Continued Validation of The Defense Automated Neurocognitive Assessment (DANA) Tool”). Additionally, the poster will demonstrate the military’s need for assessing neurocognitive function in the field and how a reliable and stable neurocognitive assessment tool, such as DANA, is key to addressing this issue.

WHEN: Aug. 18, 2015, 1 p.m. (1300) through 3 p.m. (1500) EDT. DANA, which received FDA clearance in October 2014, is a phone or tablet-based mobile medical app that works on both the Android and iOS operating systems and can provide data within minutes to help assess and measure brain health. For the military, DANA detects and assesses changes in cognitive functioning that can distinguish between the effects of mild, moderate, and severe PTSD, depression, and fatigue, as well as from multiple lifetime concussions. MHSRS is the Department of Defense’s leading scientific meeting and provides a venue for medical care providers and scientists in the military to exchange new health care research and initiatives with academics and industry professionals. All the medical and scientific research presented at the symposium is specific to the military, making MHSRS the only health care meeting that focuses solely on the health care needs of the military.
